before the European Championship 2016 in France we had invited 30 fathers and sons of families who are supported by the childrens' hospice Regenbogenland in Düsseldorf.
For the last friendly match
The Nordrhein-Reiseservice kindly made the bus transfer from Dusseldorf to the Veltins Arena in Gelsenkirchen safely. And before the departure our guests were befitting equipped: With the current jersey of the German national team - number 18, name: Kroos - that Toni had signed even in the morning. In a packed stadium the group was immediately involved in an exciting atmosphere. The two goals against Hungary tore the guests out of their seats, the atmosphere was sensational. There were cheers, laughter, football-typical sausages eaten and gallons of water and coke to cool down consumed.
Highlight of the day: When another spectator asked why the group was fully dressed in Kroos jerseys, one of the children answered: "We belong to the family!".
